July Fourth 2016, my company was running a great special for new Promoters.
I was on my first family vacation in 4 years…. and things at my business at home were not going well. I have been in the time consuming, and demanding industry of horse showing for over 28 years, and getting away for any personal reason is nearly impossible, as is any business that requires you to BE there because it’s your business. Entrepreneurs know that they are tied to their store front and it’s a downfall to having such a business, especially when live animals are involved.
While on my precious vacation, I was getting phone calls every couple of hours from a client who was upset because I wasn’t there with her while her horse was ill. Although I had called in a team of the best vets, my staff, and other trainers to support her… it wasn’t going to stop her from calling on me and making me feel guilty all weekend long.
I remember talking to my father and him asking me why I allow people to treat me like that… why I put up with so much.
The truth was because I knew no other way… I only knew a life tied to my business. Not only physically being present, but emotionally being told that if I didn’t provide exactly what they wanted that they would not stay.
In the horse business, you can have the world at your feet one moment, and the next moment the entire barn empties out and you have to rebuild and hope you can sustain yourself. I always had the fear of having to go and get a J.O.B… This is an awful word for a life long entrepreneur. But the truth was I had no life… no freedom…no way out…
I seriously envisioned myself standing in an arena teaching lessons in a walker, because I saw no financial freedom to ever be able to afford to retire either. I LOVE horses, and coaching riders, and I’m good at it. But do I seriously want to be 70 years old and still in the grind? Or would I rather like to own a few horses for my husband to ride, be able to retire our wonderful horses Sara and Sokko, and live on a beautiful farm in Florida?
Hmmmmm…. well I guess I found the one business on earth that could afford me the opportunity to make anything I want to happen! I found a business that allows me to create a great life simply by attracting others to do the same. A great product that works, and a company that compensates its newest Promoters better than any Network Marketing company on the planet is my vehicle to ultimate freedom just by helping others with an incredible limitless industry.
I tell you this story because it’s a story of what ifs?
What if my friend who introduced me to this product had taken the 4th of July off and didn’t think to reach out to me because I was on vacation?
What if I had not had an open mind to the possibility, and the fire in my gut to turn this into something really huge for myself?
Where on earth would I be right now?.?
… my guess is I would be exactly in that same desperate place…unsure of the future… definitely working a 9-5 of some sort… I would still be in physical and financial trouble… I wouldn’t know the feeling of FREEDOM that I now feel two years later…
When I think about that girl… the girl who said yes… I think about the fact that it’s my RESPONSIBILITY to share this product and this opportunity with every single person I know… that’s where it ends…. I don’t have to convince them… I just have to show and let see myself in them! I just have to share my story…the good…. the raw…and the truth… My life and my future are so bright because I am fearless in my pursuit to help others live the lives they deserve… this product is A GIFT… this business is their ticket to FREEDOM and that’s what the 4th of July is all about for me!
